Welcome to St. Andrew's Church! We are a congregation of the Diocese of Southern Ohio affiliated with the Episcopal Church, USA. The Episcopal Church, USA is a part of the 70 million member worldwide Anglican communion.
The roots of the Episcopal Church, indeed of all Anglicans throughout the
world, are in the Church of England. The first English Colonists
brought their faith with them to North We understand ourselves to be both Catholic and Reformed, and are often seen as a "middle road" between the Roman Catholic and Protestant traditions. Our life together is sacramental, meaning there are outward and visible signs in this world of the inward and spiritual grace of God through Christ. The two most important sacraments commanded by Christ and God's will for all people are: Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist (Communion). Our worship of God is liturgical, and framed by the Book of Common Prayer: a rich heritage of prayer, praise, and scripture. In choosing to worship in an Episcopal Church, you'll quickly find you are never a spectator or part of an audience. All God's people are active participants in the liturgy: our corporate worship.
Our faith in God through Jesus Christ is the anchor of our life. In
Jesus we find hope, meaning, and purpose. The "Come and see"... Jesus invited the first curious disciples. Come and see! Be part of the Family of God known as Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. |
