Rally Sunday - September 9th Important Message from Michelle Staffan: The children have gone back to school and now it is time to begin a new year of Sunday school as well. I, Michelle Staffan, have taken on the task of putting together and executing a new curriculum. We have chosen a curriculum called “All Things New”. This new curriculum seems to offer most of the things which were expressed as needed in the meeting for Sunday School Classes. The curriculum is perfect for a rotating teacher schedule, giving different members the opportunity to teach and students the opportunity to interact with multiple members of the congregation. We have decided to have teachers simply sign-up for one month at a time. I already have a few members whom have agreed to a month, thank you, and a few maybes, who I will be calling soon. I am going to schedule a teachers meeting to review the curriculum and the plan for the year. I will be doing this soon after I get a few more teachers committed. I am looking forward to getting a strong system in place and then finding more children to attend on a regular basis. For now however I feel no matter how many children are attending Sunday school we should have a curriculum in place. I also would like to let those of you know that may be thinking about volunteering that this will not take a large effort on your part to teach the classes. I have found a curriculum that gives you options for creativity, or a structured lesson plan. I will be taking care of supplies needed as well as reviewing each lesson and finding additional or different activities as needed. I am really excited to be taking on this challenge of executing a new year of Sunday school at St. Andrews, but I need some help from you as well.
