S.O.C.K.S. Now in Full Swing!

The committee is busily making final plans for the 26th annual “Spirit of Christmas for Kids” toy distribution day here at St Andrew’s on Saturday, December 8th. Thirty two volunteer shoppers from throughout the community will check in their many purchases on Wednesday, December 5th.

These purchases are made possible by the generous donations of churches, organizations, businesses and individuals from our community. St. Andrews sponsored a skating party to benefit S.O.C.K.S in November. Baskets were passed for the congregation to make contributions on Sunday, November 18th. Toys are provided to parents who are selected through Job and Family Services. The parents may select one large and two smaller gifts at no cost to them. Our church will be offering families a book of Bible Stories for Children this year.

We also receive a much appreciated grant from Episcopal Community Services Foundation to help fund the program.
